Who are we?
The Saint Bonaventure Internatio-nal College at
Grottaferrata is a house of friars minor subject directly to the
minister general. The goals and activities of the house are:
1. To promote a center of research and scientific work
within the Order of Friars Minor;
2. To prepare
scientists for research in the field of Francescana;
3. To
offer to both religious and lay scientists aids for research and the
publications of the College;
4. To promote the circulation
and the administration of material from the Friar Editors of
Quaracchi.
The scientific activity can be divided into
three sectors or sections:
- the section of the Edition
of Franciscan texts , especially medieval texts;
- the
section of Franciscan history , with the goal of
scienti-fically illustrating the history of the Franciscan family
and of publishing the reviews, Archivum Francisca-num Historicum
, Analecta Fran-ciscana , Bullarium Franciscanum
and Sinica Franciscana ;
- the section of
Franciscan thought (philosophical and theological) for the
promotion and the coordination of research in the sector of
Franciscan thought and its actualization.
