The scientific activity can be divided into three sectors or sections:
- the section of the Edition of Franciscan texts , especially
medieval texts;
- the section of Franciscan history , with the goal of scienti-fically
illustrating the history of the Franciscan family and of publishing
the reviews, Archivum Francisca-num Historicum , Analecta Fran-ciscana
, Bullarium Franciscanum and Sinica Franciscana ;
- the section of Franciscan thought (philosophical and theological)
for the promotion and the coordination of research in the sector
of Franciscan thought and its actualization.
